Senior Jacob Repass loves anything to do with cars. He is 18 years and has only been driving for two, but in that time he has owned six vehicles: an 89 Ford Ranger, a 91 F150, 94 F150, a 95 Dodge Neon, a 95 Ford Probe GT, and a 04 Ranger. Jacob is a very hard worker and has bought and fixed these cars and sold all but the 89 Ford Ranger.

Jacob doesn’t care about anything to do with school but knows what he has to do. He says, “I’m not the best at managing a balance between school and work, but I just try to get as much done at school as I can.” Even though school isn’t his favorite, he loves studying history. Along with history, Jacob loves weight classes because he says it is a way he can work on himself.

Jacob currently works as a mechanic for Big O’Tires. Jacob explains that, “it’s not difficult changing tires and doing wheel alignments but working there is nice because those were both skills I didn’t have prior.” Outside of school and work, Jacob loves going target shooting. He likes to take trips with his family and friends up Providence Canyon to spend the day shooting and enjoying his teenage years.

Jacob wants to settle down and have a small family, be financially stable, and have an oversized garage for his future self. Jacob explains that “As of right now I don’t have a solid plan to get where I want to be, but one of three things is going to happen.” His options are working at Thermo Fisher because they will help him to graduate from BTECH or he might head to Sandy to jump on the opportunity to begin a machining apprenticeship that he was offered. The final option is joining the military. Jacob has always been interested in enlisting and this year he decided to take the ASVAB test and scored a record-breaking score giving him a great chance of enlisting.
