Mountain Crest boys baseball has been on fire winning all of their series and also keeping their field looking good for the season.

Girls softball has had a tough season because of this Utah weather. Kennedy Peapealao, a senior here at Mountain Crest on the varsity team says,”I’m excited we are finally starting, but it sucks that our games keep getting canceled.” But the girls aren’t losing hope that it will warm up soon!

Girls golf has also been effected this season. Allie Wells, another senior at Mountain Crest tells us, “I’ve been so excited for this season but I hope the snow melts.” Playing golf on the snow isn’t the funnest for the girls but like the girls softball team these guys aren’t losing hope!

Boys soccer has been moving right along with the weather and have been doing great so far this season. Jud Wells, one of the seniors here at Mountain Crest said, “It’s been pretty tedious having to clear the snow off the field multiple times but we get to play so we are willing.” They hope to continue to rise above this awful weather.

Boys and Girls Lacrosse can very much agree with our boys soccer sharing the same field but they’ve been able to work it out.

Boys lacrosse had to reschedule most of their games at the beginning of this season but like everyone else, have been able to play well.

Our girls have been very successful in their play this season and the weather hasn’t affected them too much being able to play most of their games. They are doing very well this season.

Now our track team has stuck it out this season still competing in the cold weather. Katie Mcbride, a senior on the track team participating in the throwing event shares with us, “It’s been a fun season but definitely a cold one. We are just grateful we can even have our events at all.”

Now following that, our boys tennis team hasn’t had the best luck this season. Their courts were covered in snow for most of the season which lead them to a slow start but like a Mountain Crest Mustang does, they continue to prepare for a great season.

Lastly, we have our ultimate frisbee team. They have been able to have a few matches but again the weather has impacted their play in some areas. There was a bit of a delay this year with the crazy weather but that didn’t stop MC from thriving in our athletics this spring season. We are so proud of all the athlete participants here at Mountain Crest High school and hope for a fun and safe rest of the season.
