It was certainly a successful day for Mountain Crest’s FBLA. On November 13, Zachary Archibald and Sarah Brown traveled to Utah State to compete at the FBLA Aggie Invitational. There were teams hosted from all over Utah. The pair collaborated in Entrepreneurship and scored higher than any other team. They each were awarded a $500 scholarship. I had the opportunity to talk with Mrs. Meacham about the event, and she explained that the Entrepreneurship category entailed a certain scenario that was given to Zach and Sarah, in which they had to present as entrepreneurs. They encountered decision making problems, and used their knowledge and skills to manage a business.

In a separate category, Zach took first place in Job Interview. The future is bright for MC’s FBLA, with Regions approaching fast in December, State after that, and potentially Nationals. Regardless of what the future will bring, Zach and Sarah represented Mountain Crest exceptionally well, and it is clear that their hard work is paying off.
