Review: Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue By Toby Keith
The song called Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue is a song written by the popular artist Toby Keith. This song is about America and the soldiers that fought for our country. The message in this song is so good and it has a great beat.
In the song there is a lyric that says “ My daddy served in the army where he lost his right eye, But he flew a flag out in our yard til the day that he died.” This lyric is one of my favorites as it tells and shows the hardships that you go through and also how patriotic this person was even til the day that he died.
I had a very cool experience with this song on a day when I was thinking about my grandpa. I was sitting in the car listening to this song with my mom and as soon as the lyric “He flew a flag out in his yard…” was sung it reminded me so much of my grandpa because, my grandpa served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and to this day he is the most patriotic man I’ve ever met.
As I compared this song to many other country songs this one in particular was the best. I don’t know what it is about this song but all of the lyrics seem to have something unique about them and really do a good job of telling a story. I would most definitely recommend this song to anyone.
