The highlight of Jolee Johnson

Jolee Janese Johnson is in 10th grade this year and is interested in dance and animals! She is actually on the drill team here at Mountain Crest high school!

Jolee says “The Drill team has taught me so much. It taught me that doing hard things comes with good outcomes but accomplishments come with sacrifice! That is something I did not realize until I joined.”

She mentioned that “Drill made it so I can have 27 lifelong best friends.” She loves being able to dance with her best friends everyday for three hours!

Some struggles that she has had this year was getting injured and had to get surgery. “I couldn’t dance and I had to watch my team do region and state without me, but now I get to dance everyday with my best friends.”

Some successes that Jolee has had this year was “Making it into all the dances on the drill team!” Jolee says “Dance is my life and being able to compete with my best friends in every dance is a dream come true.”

After high school Jolee wants to go to college and study veterinary school and take over her mom’s business, breeding dogs! “I just feel the need to help any animals that are in need of help, I just love my animals.”
