Tylyn Nelson is a face not known to many but most people know her as hardworking and independent. Tylyn works two part-time jobs and goes to school full time.  Tylyn dreams of pursuing a career in the medical field after high school.

Tylyn says “Hard work is working for what you want.” There is no doubt that she has this quality. If you ever see a ‘96 Honda Civic in the parking lot, well that’s her. Over the summer Tylyn worked her butt off to save her money to be able to buy a car of her own. At the end of the summer, Tylyn had saved up enough money and was able to buy this car without her parents’ help. “Ya know that means something to me,” Tylyn says. There are kids out there that struggle to save money but Tylyn says “just keep in mind what you are working towards and put your money in a savings account and it will be harder to access.”

Tylyn’s studies consist of chemistry, English, exercise science, history, and math. If you ask her about school she’ll say “I only look forward to one class and that’s exercise science.” Well, I guess now you understand why she wants to go into the medical field. Seeing Tylyn throughout the day she just doesn’t take any interest in her other classes but any medical class she says “that’s a different story.” Tylyn works so hard in these classes to learn all she can about the human body and fulfill her lifelong dream. Tylyn says “All classes are important but the interesting ones are just so much easier.” Even though she doesn’t like all her classes she still works hard to pursue her career dream
