Movie Review of Cruella

The movie that I have chosen to review is Cruella.

I was expecting this movie to be fairly predictable and based upon 101 dalmatians.

In reality this movie was not predictable at all.

It has the original characters Cruella, Jasper, and Jorace.

As the movie begins we find a young girl Estella, who seems to have an alter ego, or darker side, which she has named Cruella.

Early on in the movie Estella’s mother dies, and she finds herself homeless and alone. She meets Jasper and Horace, and they earned their living by grifting and stealing from people.

Estella eventually goes to work for a fashion designer, as an unappreciated cleaning lady.

Her creative talents are never brought to light with this company. However when she changes the shop’s front window display, a fashion icon known as  the Baroness recognizes Estella’s talent and hires her on the spot.

After Estella has worked for the Baroness for a short period of time she discovers that the Baroness is wearing a necklace that used to be hers. She lost it on the night that her mother died.

Estella enlists the help of Jasper and Horace to pull off the grift of the century to get her necklace back from the Baroness.

When the grift goes wrong, things begin to escalate, and Cruella becomes the dominant character in the show.

Cruella begins upstaging the Baroness at all of her fashion events, and she quickly gains popularity.

In a surprising plot twist, it turns out that the Baroness is actually Cruella’s mother and she’s the one who killed Cruella’s adoptive mother.

The Baroness tries to kill Cruella by making it look like she accidentally died in a house fire.

Cruella is saved by one of the Baroness’s servants, and she is able to get her final revenge on the Baroness.
