2022 Homecoming Football Game- Seniors Perspective
September 16, 2022 Mountain Crest Highschool had there homecoming football game. Energy was high throughout the week with the interesting dress themes and fun activities we had throughout the week. All week our football players were preparing and getting into the mentality that we were going to beat green canyon and you could tell they kept that mentality throughout the game. I interviewed our senior captions after the game and got there opinions on who they think dominated the game, how the new coach has helped them, and how they stay hype throughout the game.
Who do you feel lead the game? The captains that I got to speak with all said that they feel the defensive line were the main people that lead the game. They said the defensive line stayed strong all game and didn’t let any runs or passes through. Coach Stevenson stated that the defensive line has to work together so there was no star player but two of the players that made really important plays were Porter Kennington (Junior) and Brayden Tannehill (Senior) with both of them sacking the green canyons quarterback.
How has the new coach helped your team? This year Mountain crest football got a new member of there team. Coach Visser is a first year head coach here at mountain crest. I asked the captains how they feel he has helped the team through this season. Kolton Kirby said that Visser has helped the team by making sure that they know its also a mental game. He stated that
