Jaxon Murray: Hard Work and Perseverance Pays Off

What does it take to play golf? In an interview with Jaxon Murray he talked about what it takes to play golf and his golfing background. He started by describing  himself in one sentence. He said, “I am extremely competitive  and work hard at everything I do.”

He started playing golf his freshman year of high school. He said he chose to play golf  because his dad played and he thought it would be fun. When  asked about the challenges he faced during the golf season he said that sometimes he just doesn’t play as good as he should.

Everybody has bad games so when asked what he does after an occasional bad game, he says “I try to shake it off and forget about what happened.”

When asking about his motivation, he said that the competitiveness of the sport is what drives him the most.

His hard work payed off when he shot a 6 over 77.

Playing high school sports can be very competitive and stressful but also very rewarding. He said that his favorite and least favorite part of playing high school golf is “just being around friends and golfing.” And “My least favorite thing is the hot weather and missing important classes every now and again .”
