Halloween costumes have changed over the years. At first, costumes were used to make spirits think that the people were also spirits. Their costumes were genuinely scary and they would use animal parts to fit in because they thought that spirits were wandering around the physical realm on October 31st. A lot of traditions came from dressing up, trick or treating is actually from this. If your costume hid you well enough for people to not recognize you you would get candy. Now costumes are more fun and less to hide who you are. Most people don’t try too hard with their costumes now and will look loosely like their costumes. Some people from Mountain Crest will be dressing up as a spider, cow, and cat. Animal costumes are very popular amongst teen girls. Some of the guys will be dressed as prisoners and even mickey mouse. Some girls will also be an angel or devils, it’s almost a tradition to do this. As always there are people dressed as firefighters and cops for the guys and girls dressed as pirates. People even wore among us costumes as well as other inflatable outfits. Every year there are people who wear costumes that have been popular for years while others wear costumes from new movies. There are thousands of different costumes that will be worn, some that are new and some that are essentially traditional at this point.
