The Optimism of Freshmen
With the new school year comes freshmen. We remember what it’s like to be freshmen: we set expectations, act too excited, and look smaller than everybody. But these freshmen are optimistic about the school year. I interviewed Lindsey Williams and Miles Croshaw about their freshmen year. Their answers are below.
- Is highschool overwhelming?
- Miles: Just the first week of school.
- Lindsey: Yes.
- What are your expectations?
- Miles: I want to get a 4.0 GPA.
- Lindsey: It’ll be easier to learn. People are more mature.
- What is your favorite class?
- Miles: Modern World History.
- Lindsey: Math and orchestra.
- Who is your favorite teacher
- Miles: Mr. Smith even though I don’t have him yet.
- Lindsey: Mr. Yoder.
- Why did you go to Mountain Crest instead of Ridgeline?
- Miles: It’s better. Better students, better school, better principal, and better teachers.
- Lindsey Williams: More of my friends go here.
When I was a freshman I wasn’t too positive, so we’ll see how these freshmen do. I hope their year lives up to their expectations and that all of us, not just the freshmen, accomplish our goals.
