With the new school year comes freshmen. We remember what it’s like to be freshmen: we set expectations, act too excited, and look smaller than everybody. But these freshmen are optimistic about the school year. I interviewed Lindsey Williams and Miles Croshaw about their freshmen year. Their answers are below.

  •  Is highschool overwhelming?
    •  Miles: Just the first week of school.
    •    Lindsey: Yes.
  • What are your expectations?
    •  Miles: I want to get a 4.0 GPA.
    •  Lindsey: It’ll be easier to learn. People are more mature.
  • What is your favorite class?
    • Miles: Modern World History.
    • Lindsey: Math and orchestra.
  • Who is your favorite teacher
    • Miles: Mr. Smith even though I don’t have him yet.
    • Lindsey: Mr. Yoder.
  •  Why did you go to Mountain Crest instead of Ridgeline?
    •  Miles:  It’s better. Better students, better school, better principal, and better teachers.
    •  Lindsey Williams: More of my friends go here.

When I was a freshman I wasn’t too positive, so we’ll see how these freshmen do. I hope their year lives up to their expectations and that all of us, not just the freshmen, accomplish our goals.
