Junior, Tearsti Stoker, is currently sitting with a 7-8 standing in Girls Tennis. Tearsti’s match against Green Canyon didn’t go as she planned,“Our scores for the match against Green Canyon didn’t turn out as good as any of us would have liked,” Stoker explained, “but there is always room for improvement.”

Tearsti wasn’t the only one that struggled in this latest match, Mountain Crest went 0-5, but there is lots of hope to perform better in the future.

There are lots of struggles when playing tennis. Players often have to deal with different weather problems and equipment malfunctions. The girl’s match against Logan on September 13 had to be postponed due to the rain.

As far as playing goes, Tearsti says her greatest battle is trying to understand her opponent’s strategy and struggles. Despite the struggles, Tearsti says, “I love the strategy of the game. Figuring out how I can best beat my opponent is one of the best parts of tennis.”

Tearsti believes the rest of the season will be fairly good because,”We are a well put together team.”
