Bobby Said What?

Excited students line up in the auditorium eager for Bobby’s story. Here’s a closer inside scoop and a recap on the events of the special assembly.

Bobby’s story: Starting from a young age Bobby struggled with self worth. He had a troubled relationship with his brother and was having a rough time in highschool. Everybody wanted him to be like his brother but Bobby wanted to be himself. The last game of his Junior year he decided to be the best player and prove to his coaches that he was worth it and better than his brother. His older brother has a very good relationship with the coaches to the point where he could tell the coaches to bench Bobby whenever he felt like he didn’t want Bobby playing. Bobby’s whole senior year was devoted to football but with all of his attention on football his grades started to slip and he wasn’t doing good in school which meant that he couldn’t play football anymore. This is when things took a turn for bobby. Even though his football skills were good enough for him to play college football, his grades made it very difficult for coaches to accept him into their program. This is when Bobby decided to go to a community college to get his grades up and allow him to play college at a better school. When Bobby got to

community college he realized that school and football were things that came naturally to him now and now college parties were something he was interested in. As he found this out he started drinking at the parties and then soon drugs and girls came into play for Bobby. Bobby was wanting to be able to find someone that would accept him for who he was but as he did this he found out the hard way that that wasn’t in his best interest. After Bobby found out that girls and parties weren’t the best thing for him and after going down a path of drugs and alcohol he decided he needed to change his life for the better. This is when Bobby went to rehab to try and put himself in a better environment. For a couple of years Bobby’s life got better slowly but surely he was heading back to a better life. Then Bobby Jones relapsed and then he had to make a hard decision. Whether or not he wanted to struggle for the rest of his life or change for good.. This is when Bobby found hope in himself again and started to put his life back together. Bobby was back in rehab and trying to fight but this time he came out on top. No more drugs and alcohol for Bobby. Booby was back. He started to realize that his story was something that could help other people going through what they went through. This is when Bobby became an inspirational speaker.

For his career Bobby now travels across the country visiting schools and sharing his story. Bobby speaks to these highschools about how they can be the best version of themselves. Telling his story on how he becomes closer to the best version of himself everyday. One of the ways Bobby becomes a better version of himself is through the students or communities. This is a way that he finds happiness in himself taking himself one step closer to the best version of himself. Bobby hopes to be invited back to speak to us as he feels a special bond with us. Keep it up Mustangs!!! And thanks for the visit BOBBY!
