Brenda Galvin: An Inspiration

Why does family inspire you?

“Family inspires me because they help me be the best version of myself and they’re like my role models. They inspire me to push through everything and to accomplish my goals. They have taught me what It means to work hard for what you want in life. They have inspired me to be myself no Matter what the circumstances are.”

How has family influenced the way you think?

“They influence the way I think because my dad has always taught us to be somebody in this world. My dad and mom have influenced me alot because they came to this country with nothing and they still managed to be where they are today. My uncles have also influenced me because they all came from Mexico for a better life. They now have a concrete company and they have many more things they want to accomplish. They have showed me what coming from nothing and working for there accomplishments mean”.

Of all the things your family has taught you, what do you think helped you the most?

“What’s helped me the most is how much they educated me and taught me how to be responsible”.

What is your favorite memory with your family?

“My favorite memories with my family was when we would all just go to bear lake and camp. All of my uncles, cousins and aunts. We would all go spend the Fourth of July weekend at bear lake and we all bonded so good and everything was so perfect. We would all disconnect and just enjoy being around each other. We would dance, play board games, go into the lake all together and just eat all as one big family. At night we would tell scary stories and we just talked about many personal things and what we want in life. Having them around really has shaped me to be the person I am today”.

Has there ever been a time where your family has helped you through a difficult time?

“Yes, they’re always there whenever I need it. They’ve been there for me when I hit a really low point and lost many friendships. They made sure I was ok and have always been 100% supportive about my goals in life. They became my reason to be a better person in this world”.
